The Houston, Texas-based donut and kolache brand has added one of America’s favorite breakfast items to its popular new Egg & Cheese kolache lineup.

This recipe comes courtesy of Rhubarb (Asheville, NC) pastry chef Mallory Foster, created for Rhubarb’s sister concept, The Rhu.

Starting on October 1, the six-week course is designed for students interested in exploring the fundamentals of plant-based pastry making and preparing pastries and confections with plant-based ingredients.

The bakery-café chain is looking to energize customers’ days, free of charge, from Sept. 27-29.

The company sees cakes and pastries and baked snacks as key categories for growth and potential acquisitions, top executives said at the Barclays Global Consumer Staples Conference.

The product line will include three new pastries.

This prestigious role places the James Beard-nominated pastry chef in a leadership position as the team prepares for the upcoming World Pastry Cup in Lyon, France.

Among the bakery-cafe chain's seasonal products are the new Iced Pumpkin Spice Matcha and Pecan Croissant Flattie.

The returning fall favorite is joined by the new Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai, among several other items, on the chain's seasonal menu.

The bakery-cafe chain is bringing even more flavor and variety to menus nationwide.
