On Friday, November 3, Dominique Ansel will open his newest bakery in Los Angeles. The “World’s Best Pastry Chef” and creator of the Cronut is adding to his growing list of global businesses, with shops in New York, Tokyo, and London.

The new grab-and-go style bakery will be located in the downstairs portion of the new 189 by Dominique Ansel restaurant, which takes over for a former steakhouse at LA’s The Grove. The name of the restaurant refers to 189 Spring Street, which is where the bakery’s first location opened in New York in 2011.

The restaurant and bakery were designed by Studio Unltd along with Rossi Architecture. The restaurant will offer brunch, lunch, dinner, a bar, and cocktails, while the bakery will have indoor and outdoor seating for 70 customers to enjoy the famous Dominique Ansel pastries and a full coffee bar.

Dominique Ansel is rolling out the new bakery with a 9 a.m. PST opening on November 3, followed by brunch and dinner at the restaurant on Saturday, November 4.
