Wrangler, the American manufacturer of jeans and other clothing items, is headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina. The company is recognizing its 70th anniversary this year, and is holding a special “Jeansboro” Day in the city to celebrate.

As part of the celebration, Wrangler asked local bakery Easy Peasy Decadent Desserts to create a unique cake for the event.

The bakery decided to create a pair of life-sized edible jeans sculptures. The desserts were inspired by some local art around the city depicting Wrangler jeans.

To make the sculptures, Traci and Erik Rankins sculpted legs from a mixture of rice cereal and melted marshmallow. Then, they covered it in white chocolate and modeling chocolate. The process took over 100 hours to complete.

“Doing all of the detail work makes it look like a pair of jeans,” Traci Rankins tells the Greensboro News & Record. “Like the belt loops and the stitching, the zippers and the rivets and things like the Wrangler tag.”

Additionally, Easy Peasy is making a sheet cake for the event that will feed around 500 people.
