National Coffee Day takes place Saturday, September 29. Few things go together better than coffee and doughnuts, which is exactly what Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is looking to do that week.

For one week only starting Monday, September 24, the coffee and doughnut chain will look to satisfy coffee lovers with the new Coffee Glazed Doughnut. The special coffee glaze pairs well with the company’s new Original Glazed Coffee, which will become a permanent part of the menu following National Coffee Day.

“Our coffee is going doughnuts, and our doughnuts are going coffee! It is a delicious, innovative approach to our iconic products,” says Alison Holder, Vice President of U.S. Marketing for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. “Because this is such a unique taste experience, and one we think coffee fans especially are going to love, we’re offering the Coffee Glazed Doughnut all week long in celebration of National Coffee Day and introducing the Original Glazed Coffee as a permanent menu item.”

As another treat for the special day, Krispy Kreme will offer guests each a free coffee of any size on September 29, no purchase necessary. Krispy Kreme Rewards members will also receive a free doughnut with their coffee on that day.
