Federal Donuts celebrated its 7th birthday on Thursday, October 11, and instead of accepting gifts the shop is giving back to its local community in a special way.
Through Monday, October 15, the Philadelphia donut chain is offering a limited-time white chocolate cherry donut. Proceeds from the sales of that donut will benefit the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House, which creates, finds, and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.
Additionally, Federal Donuts is asking customers to “Show Your Stripes” by purchasing special red and white striped socks. Both the donut and the socks can be found at any Federal Donuts location throughout the city of Philadelphia.
The shop has become well-known for giving back to the community. Earlier this month, Federal Donuts introduced the “Berries & Cream” donut in honor of Mural Arts Month and the city’s storied mural program. From October 1-11, customers could purchase the spiced cake donut topped with tart blackberry glaze, a sweet cream drizzle, and sprinkles, to benefit the Mural Arts’ Art Education program.
