Alcohol and baked good mash-ups are a hit with consumers right now, and New York City's Little Pie Company has gotten in on the action by teaming up with RUFFINO Wines. The RUFFINO Salted Caramel Prosecco Pie is a dessert that is creating quite a buzz this holiday season.
The collaboration pairs Little Pie Company’s fresh, hand-made pies with the seasonal flavors of apple and citrus that can be found in RUFFINO’s Prosecco. Each pie is baked with apple, brown sugar, salted caramel, and RUFFINO Prosecco.
“I love that I get to experiment with different ingredients to create something delicious that has never been done,” says Little Pie Company creator Arnold Wilkerson. “We had a blast creating the RUFFINO Prosecco Pie, from finding the perfect balance between the prosecco, apple and salted caramel to ensure its mouthwatering taste, to decorating the crust. Prosecco and pie are holiday staples, so now you can enjoy them all at once!”
The RUFFINO Prosecco Pie comes in two sizes: a 10-inch pie for bigger gatherings, or a 5-inch personal pie. The limited-edition offering will be available until Monday, December 31 at Little Pie Company’s New York City store or online for nationwide shipping.
