News and media website Hoodline recently sat down with data collected from review website and app Yelp to determine the best places to get a cupcake in America.

Using each cupcake shop’s Yelp rating and the significance of that rating proportional to the number of reviews, as well as regional variations, Hoodline was able to ensure that states with a stronger pattern of reviews didn't have an unfair advantage over states that tend to review businesses less frequently.

Coming out on top was The Sweet Life Bake Shop in Philadelphia. The business has a five star rating from 244 reviews on Yelp thanks to a wide assortment of flavors like funfetti cupcake with chocolate buttercream, red velvet with Nutella buttercream frosting, strawberry, and cookies and cream.

Next on the list was Sweet Mandy B’s in Chicago. This bakery has a 4.5 rating from over 1,500 reviews on Yelp. Sweet Mandy B’s in known not only for its flavors, but also for its creativity. Cupcakes and cakes at the shop have been transformed from everything from a delicious dinner to a paint-splattered canvas.

Molly’s Cupcakes in New York City took third place. The former winner of Food Network’s Cupcake Wars has a 4.5 rating on over 1,500 reviews. The bakery is known for its center-filled cupcakes, which feature flavors like cake batter, creme brûlée, peanut butter Nutella, and peach cobbler.
