Last year in December, Starbucks introduced the Juniper Latte at its Seattle Reserve Roastery, as well as its U.S. stores that feature Starbucks Reserve coffee bars. The holiday-themed beverage quickly became a popular latte for customers, so Starbucks has brought it back for 2018.
The Juniper Latte is made with Starbucks signature espresso and steamed milk infused with juniper syrup and capped with velvety foam and a dusting of pine-citrus sugar. The hint of juniper and sage, evergreen aroma, and citrus notes make it a unique winter beverage.
“With the first sip, you’ll inhale that woodsy aroma and the savory woodiness of the juniper,” says Lillian Ontiveros from Starbucks R&D. “On your second sip, you'll get the mandarin. The sage follows on the backend. It's a well-rounded experience.”
The limited-time beverage became available on Tuesday, November 27 at Starbucks’ U.S. locations and can be purchased while supplies last. It joins the lineup of Starbucks holiday espresso beverages like Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Gingerbread Latte, and Eggnog Latte.
