National Cupcake Day takes place on Saturday, December 15, and Sprinkles Cupcakes is getting ready for one of the biggest days of the year at its bakeries with a special promotion.

Sprinkles will give free cupcakes for a year to one winner at every one of its locations throughout the United States. Participants can enter the giveaway by visiting a location and making a purchase on any day between Tuesday, December 4 and Friday, December 14. Participants must also be a member of the Sprinkles Perks program.

Each visit will count as an entry. Following the entry period, Sprinkles will choose a winner for each location. Twenty-two Grand Prizes will be awarded during the promotion.

During the lead-up to National Cupcake Day, Sprinkles is running a ‘12 Days of Sprinkle Joy’ event. Each day will have a new and exclusive offer. The first day featured a “Buy One, Get One Free” deal, which customers could receive by whispering the words “Sprinkle JOY!” during a purchase.

While customers are in the stores, they will find a variety of flavors for the holidays. The newest option is the Christmas Cookie cupcake. It features vanilla cake studded with red and green sprinkles, then topped with vanilla buttercream frosting, red and green sprinkles, and a homemade sugar cookie.
