Duck Donuts, with 77 locations across the country, has added a new flavor to its donuts for the New Year. From now until March 31, the donut franchise is offering a tasty toffee crunch topping made with HEATH.
The HEATH bar is a candy bar made of toffee, almonds, and milk chocolate that was first introduced in 1914 and has become a popular topping for desserts at a variety of foodservice establishments. Duck Donuts’ nutty topping can also be found in its Cozy Combinations Assortment, along with classics such as vanilla icing with chocolate drizzle, chocolate icing with chocolate sprinkles, and more.
“When guests taste one of our warm, made-to-order donuts, we want to invoke the nostalgia of what it was like to be a kid coming inside for a sweet snack, after a day of playing in the snow,” says Russ DiGilio, founder and CEO of Duck Donuts franchising company. “We think our toffee crunch topping encapsulates that feeling seamlessly.”
In addition to its new topping, Duck Donuts has also added new winter espresso drinks at several of its stores. Among those are the Churro Fluff Latte, the Toffee Bar Mocha, the Horchata White Mocha , and the Cookie Butter Chai Latte. All locations offer the seasonal Winter Roast coffee, a blend of Central and South American beans medium roasted, boasting a sweet butterscotch flavor layered with notes of hazelnut and whiskey.
