Kneaders Bakery & Café, with dozens of locations spread out across eight states, is planning a special deal for customers on Saturday, March 14. On that day, people will be celebrating Pi Day (3/14) in honor of the mathematical constant Pi (π).
3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of π. Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, so it is often celebrated by eating its circular homophone pie.
Kneaders will offer customers $1.50 slices of pie and $10.99 whole pies on Pi Day. Last year, the company sold over 1,442 whole pies and 4,994 slices of pie across all of its locations. Among the top-selling pie flavors were raspberry cream cheese, coconut cream, chocolate, and banana cream pie.
The company is also celebrating St. Patrick's Day by giving away free lime tarts with the purchase of its Irish Stew on Tuesday, March 17.
Founded by Gary and Colleen Worthington in 1997, Kneaders Bakery & Café is headquartered in Orem, Utah. The fast-casual concept offers European hearth breads, sandwiches, pastries, soups, and salads, all made in-house each day.
