With the NCAA men’s and women’s basketball tournaments about to get underway, the season is approaching its culmination. Insomnia Cookies is helping fans celebrate this special time of year at its stores nationwide.

Starting Monday, March 18, Insomnia Cookies began offering mini basketball cakes. These cookie cakes feature a basketball image in the center.

To further celebrate, the cookie bakery is hosting its own tournament. Called the “College Cookie Tournament”, it gives fans of all colleges and universities in range of an Insomnia Cookies a chance to vote for their favorite school and win prizes starting Sunday, March 17.

Many Insomnia Cookies locations are strategically placed in areas with a large college or university presence or in dense urban markets with heavy nighttime and/or daytime traffic.

“With store locations at over 125 universities across the country, all schools in our delivery ranges will have the chance to win prizes, and show their school spirit through our College Cookie Tournament” says Chief Marketing Officer Tom Carusona. “Schools will compete to get the most votes. The winning school and its store will receive an extra unique deal for all customers to enjoy for an extended period.”
