In August of 2018, Randy’s Donuts announced that it had its sights set on tremendous growth in the next year. According to a spokesperson, the iconic California donut shop was “building or negotiating leases for up to twelve locations throughout Southern California and two in Las Vegas.”
Now, the company is looking to go even further. Randy’s Donuts is gearing up for nationwide expansion with the announcement of highly-anticipated franchise opportunities. The brand will be aggressively developed throughout the country as well as internationally.
Randy’s is targeting franchisees with previous food service ownership or operating experience and a desire to open multiple units. The total initial investment for a franchise ranges from $360,000 to $526,000 for an in-line location. Kiosks, in-line, and drive-thru sites are all available, ranging from 300 to 2,500 square feet.
“From our contribution to pop culture to our mission to give back to the community, Randy’s sits in an enviable and unique position in the donut world. We are ecstatic to now launch the franchise opportunity and bring Randy's to cities across the nation,” says Mark Kelegian, President of Randy’s Donuts. “While gourmet and other local shops have popped up to cash in on donuts’ demand, no one else offers the breadth of 50 varieties of handmade, proprietary choices, catering to cost-conscious and indulgent donut lovers.”
Randy’s currently has four locations in the greater Los Angeles area – Inglewood, Century City, El Segundo, and Hollywood. Development will continue throughout California, including the next store to debut in Downey, California in June. It will feature a 24-hour, drive-thru and walk-up freestanding store that will have Randy’s signature donut on the roof.
Additionally, Randy’s has inked deals to bring its word-famous donuts to the Philippines and South Korea in 2019.
