On Monday, April 29, bakery equipment designer and manufacturer Oliver announced the appointment of Mitch Summerfield as the company’s new president. Effective April 22, Summerfield has been tasked with enhancing Oliver’s strategy that is rooted in solving customers problems and delivering on-time service.
“Oliver has earned its quality reputation by delivering unbeatable products and service for over 100 years. It is a privilege to be asked to lead the company. I’m excited to get to work with our employees and deliver even more for our customers,” says Mitch Summerfield.
“The focus is to help customers make the most of their limited resources to deliver more meals and baked goods for their neighbors. Our customers operate in a very competitive sector and need their suppliers to support them at every step. Each decision we make will improve our ability to serve them more effectively.”
Summerfield previously served as Senior Vice President of Evoqua Water Technologies, where he led sales growth initiatives, strategic restructuring, and process improvement programs to increase company profitability and customer satisfaction scores by 10%+ annually.
Across three decades in the water technologies industry, Summerfield developed global growth strategies and responsible capital allocation plans. Under his leadership, Siemens China delivered the largest municipal water project in company history to the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.
“Oliver has been the supplier of choice for many kitchens and bakeries since beginning to serve these markets. Mitch Summerfield brings a strong track record of improving customer satisfaction, innovating new solutions, and generating results. We all look forward to working with him to create long-term success for both Oliver and our customers,” says Mike Benevento, President and CEO, Oliver Products.
