Houston’s Three Brothers Bakery is currently promoting its seven-layer rainbow cake to celebrate Pride Month.
Throughout June (and year-round), the bakery offers the dessert featuring layers of lavender, dark purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red to represent the colors of the pride flag. It is filled and iced with white buttercream and topped with rainbow-colored sprinkles.
The 8-inch cake sells for $69.95 or $9.95 per slice. For every whole cake and slice sold, the bakery will donate $1 and 50 cents, respectively, to Aids Foundation Houston. The nonprofit is dedicated to the prevention of new HIV transmissions and supporting those impacted by HIV/AIDS.
“Our rainbow cake is a bright, fun way for Houstonians to show their LGBT pride,” says Bobby Jucker, Three Brothers Bakery co-owner.
