Incredibly, it has been 30 years since one of the most iconic sitcoms of all-time, Seinfeld, debuted on television. On July 5th, 1989, the series’ first episode aired on NBC and soon made stars of all its main cast members.
With that special anniversary approaching, another New York City-based icon is honoring Seinfeld’s legacy. Magnolia Bakery is launching a new black and white cookie representing one of the most famous scenes in the show’s history.
The cookie, frosted on one half with vanilla and on the other with chocolate, was featured in a season five episode called “The Dinner Party.” While waiting in line at a bakery, Jerry Seinfeld enjoys a black and white cookie and sees it as a solution to the world’s problems.
Magnolia Bakery’s black and white cookie, which is available in-store in limited quantities at all of its U.S. locations, retails for $3.50 each.
