ComplexCon is an event celebrating creative collaboration between the most influential people and hottest brands moving culture forward. The groundbreaking festival and exhibition that brings together pop culture, music, art, food, sports, innovation, activism, and education launches in Chicago on July 20 & 21.
One of the food vendors invited to ComplexCon is Finom Coffee, a Hungarian-influenced shop that has been hosting a pop-up over the last few months along with the Secret Donut Society. The pop-ups bring out long lines that sell out within minutes.
To really make a splash at this Chicago festival, the businesses teamed up with Rare Tea Cellar to create a pricey doughnut that would wow the crowd. It settled on two $500 doughnuts, named “Decadence” and “Opulence,” featuring high-end ingredients listed below:
Decadence
- Iberico de Bellota Jamon
- Delice de Bourgerone Triple Cream Cheese
- 100-year Aceto balsamic vinegar
- Griottines Cherries in Kirschwasser Brandy wrapped in 24-karat gold sheets
- Callebaut Ruby
Opulence
- Australian Winter Truffles
- Golden Ossetra Caviar
- 24-karat gold flakes
- Limited Edition Rare Tea Cellar Perigord Barrel-Aged Black Tea
- Winter Truffle Maple Syrup
- Okinawa Black Sugar
“… quite possibly the most insanely ridiculous/expensive ingredient lists ever, but make no mistake about it these two donuts taste AMAZING,” Finom Coffee says about the doughnuts in an Instagram post.
