Marshmallows are an essential part of the classic s’more. While a traditional version of this treat is always enjoyable, gourmet marshmallow company XO Marshmallow has plenty of ways to add some excitement to it for the upcoming National S’mores Day on Saturday, August 10.

XO Marshmallow can give “spirit” to the s’more with its “After Dark” collection, which is inspired by classic cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. Among the marshmallow flavors available are Malort (a Swedish-style spiced liquor), Old Fashioned, Cosmopolitan, Bourbon, and Champagne. They are available in-store and online.

For customers looking for another twist on the classic s’more, XO Marshmallow has the S’maco (S’more Taco) at its Chicago café. It features vanilla marshmallows stuffed into a waffle cone taco shell and drizzled with melted chocolate.

The company also offers a S’mores Kit with everything needed to make s’mores at home. The kit includes 12 gourmet marshmallows, one bar of Vosges smoked salt chocolate, 10 homemade gluten-free graham crackers, and 1 ceramic s’mores stick. XO Marshmallow worked with a ceramicist to create its marshmallow roasting sticks that are handmade, hand-painted, and meant to be used over a stovetop or with a culinary torch.

XO Marshmallow encourages customers to use its gourmet flavors to created unexpected s’mores combinations. Some of the marshmallow and chocolate pairings the company suggests are lavender honey with white chocolate, Nutella with dark chocolate, and Cookies & Cream with Hershey’s Cookies n’ Cream Chocolate.
