The Underground Donut Tour, which started in Chicago, has rapidly expanded to several cities around the country in recent years. That passion for donuts continues with the Underground Donut Tour’s announcement of its first-ever donut festival, Taste of Donuts.
This new event will feature the best the Midwest has to offer, with donut shops attending from Chicago, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and surrounding areas. It’s said to be the Midwest’s first donut festival that brings together donut shops from the surrounding states.
Attendees will be able to try some of the best and most beautiful looking donuts from each shop and find out what makes them so unique. They’ll also get to take home donuts to try later. Among the big names that have been announced so far include Stan’s Donuts (Chicago), Roeser’s Bakery (Chicago), Over the Top Bakery Café (Indiana), Sweetwater's Donut Mill (Michigan), Gurnee Donuts (Illinois), and many more to be announced.
The festival will also have pairings of coffee from select partners and fun social media activations for the perfect Instagram post.
Taste of Donuts takes place Saturday, November 2 with two sessions: 10-12 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, August 1 at 10 a.m. CST. The first wave of early bird tickets will be on sale for $25 and the price will increase to $35 as the event gets closer.
