Innovative doughnut shop Voodoo Doughnut has announced its latest creations, providing a unique take on the popular Italian pastries known as cannoli.
The Cannolo Doughnut, which was two years in the making, is created with a raised yeast doughnut, swirled and fired to perfection, and filled with a variety of cream cheese flavors. It currently features three cream cheese flavors – pumpkin, almond, and raspberry – and is available now at participating Voodoo Doughnut locations as a permanent menu item.
“We are excited to offer our customers something new and unique, as part of their Voodoo Doughnut experience. Voodoo customers have come to expect innovative flavors and products from us, and The Cannolo Doughnut gives us the opportunity to exceed their expectations and further develop our menu,” says Chris Schultz, Voodoo Doughnut CEO.
The Cannolo is part of a larger plan to offer expanded menu items so that customers have more choices when they visit any Voodoo Doughnut location. The chain currently offers a wide variety of doughnuts, including its beloved Bacon Maple Bar, Portland Cream, and Memphis Mafia.
