Pumpkin continues to be a favorite flavor this time of year. However, one new café in the Bayside neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens is looking to make it a year-round specialty.
Tiny Pumpkin is a Korean brand that recently opened its first location in the U.S. A majority of the items on the menu are devoted to the pumpkin flavor. The café features a variety of pumpkin treats using fresh Korean pumpkin as the main ingredient (as opposed to canned or artificially-flavored versions).
In addition to pumpkin lattes, Tiny Pumpkin also offers pumpkin cookies, pumpkin scones, pumpkin porridge, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin bingsoo (Korean shaved ice), and other pumpkin drinks and sweets. These well-being-focused products are a staple of the Korean brand. In South Korea, Tiny Pumpkin is known for promoting the numerous health benefits of pumpkins, such as Vitamin A content, antioxidant levels, and more.
“Tiny pumpkin is the only brand from Korea that has created a variety of delicious pumpkin well-being treats including pumpkin cookies which were patented for the first time in Korea used a fresh pumpkin as the main ingredient. We will constantly work to share safe and healthy food,” the café says on social media.
If all goes well in Bayside, the brand hopes to eventually expand to other locations in Manhattan, New Jersey, and even across the country in Los Angeles.
