Traditionally, National Bagel Day and National Pizza Day have shared the spotlight on February 9. Earlier this year, however, Thomas' Bagels officially registered a new day for bagels on January 15. Einstein Bros. Bagels agrees that bagels should have their own day, which is why the chain is moving up its own celebration of National Bagel Day to that date in 2020..

On that day, Einstein Bros. will “Bake Your Day” by giving away a free bagel and shmear with purchase to all guests. Additionally, guests who visit on National Bagel Day will receive a coupon for a free bagel and shmear with purchase so they can pay-(a bagel)-forward to someone else.

“We like to say that our bakers wake up the roosters,” says Chad Thompson, Chief Baker and VP of Menu Innovation at Einstein Bros. “They’re up before dawn starting the baking ritual, every day, so our guests can enjoy a fresh-baked bagel. We strive to ‘bake your day’ every day, but on National Bagel Day, we especially want to make sure of it.”

Einstein Bros. Bagels currently has more than 700 locations in 40 states and the District of Columbia, serving bagels, gourmet bagel sandwiches, coffee, espresso, sweets, and snacks.
