Two beloved brands teamed up for a special donut that combined a sweet treat with some heat. Dunkin’ created a donut using Frank’s RedHot sauce that was briefly available to customers.
During the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 2, the hot sauce brand accepted a dare from its social media followers and covered a Dunkin’ donut in its sauce. Inspired by the daring innovation, Dunkin’ created its own version, which it gave away for free at two stores around Miami on Monday, February 3.

The Frank’s RedHot Jelly Donut was developed after the Dunkin’ team tested more than a dozen different donut combinations. They finally landed on a yeast donut shell, filled with apple and raspberry-flavored jelly, topped with white icing and drizzled with Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce. The mix of sweet icing and jelly filling with the spiciness of the hot sauce created a flavor combination that was popular with guests at Dunkin’ restaurants in Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
.@FranksRedHot We’re the sweet to your spice . We knew you’d love it, which is why we’re giving it away for free at 2 stores around Miami, for fans of both teams- tomorrow, 2/3! See addresses in our bio. pic.twitter.com/6nfpiFjL8C
