On the morning of Thursday, March 19, San Francisco’s Mr. Holmes Bakehouse sold groceries to customers in need of supplies. Among the items the bakery offered were produce, dairy, spices, cooking oil, and much more.
Not only did the grocery sale help customers, but it gave the bakery revenue during the coronavirus spread and the ability to help its employees and their families. To encourage customers to shop for groceries there, Mr. Holmes Bakehouse offered a free bread-starting kit with each purchase.
The bakery says that its team has created thousands of these kits to make it possible for customers to stay home and make bread for themselves. All that’s needed is flour and water to make an unlimited supply of bread.
Mr. Holmes Bakehouse is also offering the starter and a recipe for $15 or a starter, recipe, and bread kit for $25. They are available for delivery.
