Long Beach, Calif.’s The Pie Bar is promoting positivity during the coronavirus crisis and thanking the hardworking first responders in its community by “pie-ing it forward.”
Customers are encouraged to purchase whole pies that will then be delivered to food banks, hospitals, nursing homes, and fires stations in the Long Beach community. For their generosity, The Pie Bar will send each person who purchases one of the pies from its Pie It Forward collection a $20 Pie Bar Gift Card to use in the future.
Customers can purchase two pies for $50, four pies for $100, or 10 pies for $200. The flavor options in this collection include:
- Family Size Chicken Pot Pie
- Family Size Veggie Pot Pie
- Whole Dutch Apple Pie
- Whole Key Lime Pie
- Whole Salted Caramel Pie (gluten-free)
“Everyone could use something sweet in their life right now, especially our nurses, doctors, first responders, food banks, and senior communities,” the shop says. “They've been working tirelessly to keep our community safe and we'd like to invite you to Pie it Forward with us.”
