Stan’s Donuts & Coffee has announced the return of its colorful Pride donuts from now through Sunday, June 28 in celebration of Pride Month.
The Chicago-based donut shop is doing something special this year for Pride Month, partnering with BYP100 and donating a portion of proceeds from each colorful Pride donut sold to the organization. BYP100 is a national member-based organization of black 18- to 35-year-olds, dedicated to creating justice and freedom through a black queer feminist lens by building a collective focused on transformative leadership development, direct action organizing, strategic communications, issue advocacy and political education.
Young black people are BYP100’s core membership constituency, and they look to lift up the voices, experiences, and prioritize the issues of historically silenced and vulnerable groups within black communities - specifically queer, trans and gender-nonconforming, poor, disabled, and undocumented people.
Later this week, Stan’s Donuts is also holding its delayed National Donut Day celebration. From Friday, June 26 to Sunday, June 28, Stan’s will offer guests a free glazed cake donut with any purchase. The donut shop will also offer specially-priced assortments, such as a $10 half dozen of glazed donuts; a $20 dozen of Stan’s classics, including chocolate cake and strawberry glazed donuts; and a $30 Doughboy’s Best Assortment of twelve of Stan’s most beloved flavors including the Nutella pocket and lemon pistachio old fashioned.
