As part of its quarterly give-back campaign, Voodoo Doughnut has renewed its partnership with HERA Ovarian Cancer Foundation and will raise money for the organization through its new limited-time Strawberry Go-Tart doughnut.
Available now through March 28, the Strawberry Go-Tart doughnut is a strawberry filled doughnut with vanilla frosting and poppin’ sprinkles. Voodoo Doughnut will donate a portion of the proceeds from every Strawberry Go-Tart doughnut sold directly to HERA Ovarian Cancer Foundation. The doughnut will be sold at participating Voodoo Doughnut locations in Portland, Milwaukie and Eugene, Oregon; Austin and Houston, Texas; and Denver, Colorado.
“As part of our commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work, we are super proud to again partner with HERA Ovarian Cancer Foundation.” says Chris Schultz, Voodoo Doughnut chief executive officer. “For nearly 20 years, HERA has been raising funds to support their programming, and we are thrilled to be a small part of that effort by donating a portion of the proceeds from every Strawberry Go-Tart doughnut sold.”
“We are beyond grateful for this unique partnership with Voodoo Doughnut,” says Heidi Wells, HERA Ovarian Cancer Foundation president. “HERA Ovarian Cancer Foundation raises money to support cutting edge research to encourage early detection, find improved treatments, and work towards a future cure for a disease that takes far too many women, far too early. Without clear symptoms or a diagnostic test, most cases of ovarian cancer are not identified until late stages, when treatment options are few and often unsuccessful.”
Voodoo Doughnut has other new products available this winter. From now through March 28, customers can get three new flavors of the chain’s Cannolo (doughnut-cannoli hybrid): Elderberry Buttercream Cannolo, Matcha Sesame Cannolo and Ginger Snap Cannolo.
