In honor of School Lunch Hero Day, ITW Food Equipment Group brands Traulsen and Hobart have revealed the second winner of the Save Your Kitchen 2021 campaign sweepstakes.  Hawkins ISD in Hawkins, Texas, won by random selection the second of four drawings for 2021.

Save Your Kitchen will provide free Traulsen and Hobart kitchen equipment to four winning sweepstake entrants throughout the year. Hawkins ISD is the second recipient this year of the new kitchen equipment prize package from the Save Your Kitchen campaign, following Essexville-Hampton Public Schools in Essexville, Michigan in March.  With one kitchen serving the whole district, the winning ISD serves 732 students from pre-school through 12th grade.

Hawkins selected a new Traulsen 8-Crate Milk Cooler (RMC34S) to keep their milk cold, organized and easy to reach.  Capable of holding up to (8) 13”x13”x11” crates, the cooler will always be well-stocked for any meal rush and will help the kitchen keep up with the increased need for extra milk for its supper program.

The school also selected a Centerline by Hobart 20 Quart Mixer (HMM20).  The mixer replaced an older model and is a perfect fit for the kitchen because it can be used for multiple applications.

“Thank you Traulsen and Hobart,” says Hawkins ISD child nutrition director Lesa Gibson. “We have high participation from the kids in our lunch and supper programs because we are able to offer fresh homemade food options daily. This equipment is much needed in our schools. It pays to play!”

The Save your Kitchen sweepstakes is open to K-12 nutrition professionals in the 50 states and Washington, DC. This year’s giveaways feature Traulsen refrigerators, a freezer or a milk cooler plus a Hobart slicer or mixer for all four giveaways, as well as a Hobart AM-style dish machine for the July drawing only.
