In order to engage customers in new ways, specialty bakery Cheryl’s Cookies is launching the Celebrations Book Club by Cheryl’s Cookies.

For this first virtual book club event, produced by Long Island LitFest, New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Weiner will host a one-hour discussion about her new book That Summer, a timely and twisty novel of intrigue, secrets and the transformative power of female friendship.

Attendees who signed up, no charge to attend, will receive a free sampler box with six Cheryl’s Cookies to enjoy during the conversation. The virtual event will take place Monday, June 14 at 7 pm EST.

The inaugural event quickly sold out with 2,000 customers to attend. As Cheryl’s Cookies continues to look for ways to deepen the relationships with customers, future book club offerings are in the works.
