"This cake was made for a retired couple who had a "Sun" themed wedding. They have land on the river and were hosting their wedding and reception there. Everyone was to be dressed in Hawaiian shirts and sun dresses. The bride and her daughter came to the design session with several inspiration cakes, and ultimately this is what was decided on. The cake is covered in fondant with gumpaste circles. The "connectors" were hand piped in royal icing."

"This ruffle cake was actually done for a stylized photo shoot with the theme of Berry Tea Time Brunch. Ironically after I posted the shots, a bride saw the picture on my facebook page and scheduled a tasting because she had to have that cake. She fell in love with the simplicity and it matched a flower on her dress. Her wedding is actually this weekend and will be held in the garden of the local college's alumni center. The cake is covered in fondant and recovered in fondant stripes and hand ruffled. Once the ruffles set, they were hand painted with Crystal Colors luster dust."
