New York City’s Levain Bakery, known for its decadent six-ounce cookies, has announced that it will expand to Boston, Massachusetts in early winter 2022. This will be the company’s first New England location, after seven in New York and two in the Washington, DC area.

The bakery’s cookie selection includes five flavors: chocolate chip walnut, dark chocolate peanut butter chip, dark chocolate chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and two chip chocolate chip. There will also be a variety of additional baked goods, including breads, blueberry muffins and loaf cakes.

Earlier this year, Levain Bakery’s cookies were made available across the country is ready-to-bake versions at Whole Foods supermarkets. Flavors include the signature chocolate chip walnut, two chip and dark chocolate chip.

Levain Bakery was founded in 1994 by Connie McDonald and Pam Weekes, who wanted to create the world’s greatest chocolate chip cookie. It quickly became a neighborhood institution and a destination for travelers with a sweet tooth.
