Voodoo Doughnut has introduced an exclusive new doughnut, the Mango Ginger Kiss, which is a fluffy raised glazed shell filled with mango cream, drizzled with ginger icing and topped with a kiss of crystalized ginger. The doughnut chain also announced that a portion of each Mango Ginger Kiss sold between now and March 27 will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA).
“It’s an honor to support the efforts of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America,” says Chris Schultz, Voodoo Doughnut chief executive officer. “The work the AFA does in support of families and individuals coping with Alzheimer’s and other dementias is humbling. We partnered with the AFA once before and became very attached to their cause and efforts. We’re grateful to partner with them again.”
The AFA aims to provide support, services and education to individuals, families and caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s and related dementias nationwide, and fund research for better treatment and a cure. AFA provides those newly affected by the disease with tools, information, and support to help them navigate the landscape.
In addition to the Mango Ginger Kiss, Voodoo also announced the return of the fan favorite Strawberry Go-Tart, a diced strawberry filled bar with vanilla frosting and poppin’ sprinkles on top. It will be available for the month of January. Also new today are two Cannolo flavors, the Lemon Cannolo and Sweet Cream Cannolo, which will be available until February 20.
