In a recent Business of Baking poll from General Mills Foodservice, croissants are one of the top bread items that consumers like to order when dining away from home. Additionally, 63 percent of Americans are more likely to order a sandwich if it's made with a unique bread/sandwich carrier (e.g. a croissant, biscuit, or waffle) than if it's made from regular bread.
In advance of National Croissant Day on Sunday, January 30, General Mills Foodservice has compiled some resources to help operators celebrate this food holiday. Among those are free point-of-sale (non-branded) materials, images for social media, recipe ideas and more.
The baking supplier is looking to give operators some croissant creativity to appeal to customers on National Croissant Day and beyond. This recipe collection features “Craveable Croissant Creations” across all dayparts, such as Orange Almond Croissant Sticky Buns for breakfast, Seafood Salad Croissants for lunch, and Upscale BLT Croissants for dinner.
