Cravings by Chrissy Teigen, a lifestyle brand born out of Teigen’s New York Times bestselling cookbooks, introduces its first-ever line of baking mixes with three products now available for pre-order: Chrissy’s Ultimate Banana Bread Mix; Buttermilk Mochi Pancake and Waffle Mix; and Salted White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie Mix.
Adapted from Teigen’s recipes, the new mixes make elaborate, creative dishes simple to execute at home by requiring the addition of only one or two basic ingredients before baking.
The launch of the baking mixes marks a significant milestone for Cravings, as it expands from its origins as a recipe site inspired by Teigen’s popular cookbooks, to now offering food products that make it easier than ever for home cooks to bring those beloved recipes to life. Over the next year, Cravings plans to launch additional baking mixes, while also introducing items like pasta and noodle sauces, condiments, snacks and more.
All three Cravings baking mixes were available for pre-order starting Thursday, October 20 at Cravings by Chrissy Teigen’s website, and will start shipping nationally on Tuesday, October 25, before launching in retail next year. They include:
- Chrissy’s Ultimate Banana Bread Mix ($8) – This mix combines sweet banana with dark chocolate chunks and a hint of coconut. The original recipe from the cookbook took Teigen more than a year to master, and this new mix makes it easy for home cooks to whip together a special banana bread, without the need for perfectly browned bananas or special ingredients. Simply add eggs, water and oil to the mix, before pouring into a loaf pan and baking in the oven.
- Buttermilk Mochi Pancake and Waffle Mix ($7) – The addition of mochi takes the pancakes to another level, giving them a delightfully springy texture. The gluten-free mix requires just eggs, milk and oil.
- Salted White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie Mix ($10) – These cookies are addictingly chewy, with a sublime combination of savory and sweet, rounded out with a robust nuttiness and topped with flaky sea salt. The cookies are made simply by adding butter and an egg.
Ahead of the launch date, Cravings is offering an exclusive preview tasting of Chrissy’s Ultimate Banana Bread, in partnership with Postmates. From October 20-30, users in Los Angeles will have the opportunity to purchase a freshly baked Ultimate Banana Bread loaf via the Postmates app, which will be delivered to their door, along with a free box of the banana bread mix for them to recreate the banana bread at home. There will be a limited number of banana breads baked freshly each day, and they will be available for immediate delivery while supplies last. A portion of all proceeds from this preview will be donated to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
