The Dolly Llama, awaffle and artisanal ice cream destination with locations in Los Angeles, Dallas, Las Vegas, Ponte Vedra Beach and Winter Garden, Florida, is starting the new year with a national social media contest encouraging guests to take the most creative photo or video of their ‘Build-Your-Own’ Waffle creation.
Throughout the month of January, guests at any Dolly Llama location can an interesting and fun photo or video at any Dolly Llama location on social media for a chance to win. The top three winners will be announced on The Dolly Llama’s social media account with first place winning a $100 Dolly Llama gift card and second and third place taking home $50 and $25 gift cards, respectively.
Guests can enter via social media by uploading a creative photo or video at a Dolly Llama store, posting to their Instagram story or feed, include hashtag #thedollyllamacontest, tag and follow @thedollyllama_us and geotag the location that they visited.
“We wanted to kick off the new year with an engaging and interactive contest with our guests, especially as we enter new markets across the country,” says co-founder Eric Shomof. “With endless possibilities for building desserts and so much aesthetic inspiration in our stores, we’re excited to see the fun and creative photos and videos our guests post for International Creativity Month. Guests often post about our insta-worthy, over-the-top desserts on social media, so for International Creativity Month we want to award and encourage the creativity that we see everyday! And who knows? Maybe our guests’ entries will inspire us to add a brand new menu item!”
The brand prides itself on offering authentic European flavors and techniques, such as Belgian waffles using traditional methods, and the Hong Kong Bubble Waffle prepared with a special batter that produces a unique crispy and custard-like texture. The two unique waffle styles, OG Liege Waffle and Bubble Waffle, are the base of the interactive menu of ‘Top Picks’ waffle and ice cream desserts, ice cream waffle sandwiches, and a ‘Build Your Own’ menu, where customers are encouraged to get creative with unlimited toppings resulting in endless flavor possibilities and combinations.
