To honor AAPI Heritage Month in May, Sprinkles is partnering with America’s first specialty Vietnamese coffee importer and roaster, Nguyen Coffee Supply, for the brand’s first-ever Vietnamese Coffee Cupcake.
The Vietnamese Coffee Cupcake ($6) features a coffee cake and coffee frosting infused with Nguyen Coffee Supply’s Loyalty Blend, which has single origin Arabica & Robusta coffee beans with flavor notes of smoked caramel, cacao, pomelo and almond. The cupcake center is filled with a creamy condensed milk buttercream.
The cupcakes are available at Sprinkles bakeries nationwide from April 17 through May 14. The collaboration is part of Sprinkles’ ongoing support of the leading Asian Pacific changemaker organization and platform Gold House.
“There's a strong connection between the coffee and baking worlds, both as ingredients and as complementary experiences,” says Nguyen Coffee Supply founder Sahra Nguyen. “As our company works to bring visibility and cultural integrity to the Vietnamese coffee industry, we’re thrilled for our collaboration with Sprinkles to celebrate Vietnamese coffee through an iconic cupcake brand.”
This cupcake is part of Sprinkles’ ongoing relationship with Gold House as a nonprofit partner, driven by the bakery chain’s chief marketing officer and Chinese American Michelle Wong. This is the second collaboration with Gold House to create a cupcake that celebrates diversity through food by sharing Asian American flavors and treats across the country.
