Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC), an inclusive and interactive environment that has created a global community through the universal language of ice cream, plans to celebrate National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, July 16 in a big way. Teaming up with sweet treat purveyors like Friendly’s, Dove Ice Cream and Ida’s Artisan Ice Cream, MOIC has planned global experiences in New York, Chicago, Austin and Singapore, inviting ice cream fans to take part in a day of frozen treats and entertainment.

The weekend-long festivities across all four locations include:

  • New York (July 15-16)
    • Location: Hudson Yards Public Square and Gardens (11th Avenue, Hudson Boulevard)
    • Time: 11 am to 6:00 pm EST
    • Activities: Sponsored by Friendly’s, MOIC will bring its iconic sprinkle pool to the West Side’s most popular gathering place, Hudson Yards Public Square and Gardens. Attendees can expect to enjoy a jump in the biodegradable sprinkles, as well as a range of free ice cream offerings, like the beloved Original Fudge, Chocolate Fudge and Cookies ‘n Cream.
  • Chicago (July 16)
    • Location: Pioneer Court (401 N Michigan Ave.)
    • Time: 11 am to 5:30 pm CST
    • Activities: MOIC partnered with Ida’s Artisan Ice Cream, Dove Ice Cream and CIM Group to bring a pop-up sprinkle pool to Pioneer Court. Guests can expect to satisfy their sweet tooth with offerings like Dove ice cream chocolate bars and artisanal flavors from Ida.
  • Austin (July 15-16)
    • Location: South Congress Ave (901 S Congress Ave)
    • Time: 10 am to 6 pm CST
    • Activities: To kick off MOIC’s Ice Cream Truck Austin’s summer residency, it will set up on Austin’s South Congress Ave to serve up smiles with free ice cream. After National Ice Cream Day, the truck will be stationed on South Congress Ave every weekend until the end of summer for guests to purchase ice cream.
  • Singapore (July 15-16)
    • Location: Plaza Singapura (68 Orchard Rd.)
    • Time: 2 pm to 6 pm SGT
    • Activities: Supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, MOIC is bringing Asia’s largest sprinkle pool to Plaza Singapura. Guests can take a sweet dip and enjoy scoops of ice cream at the sprinkle pool at Plaza Singapura.

It’s the perfect day to celebrate the joy and wonder that ice cream can bring to our lives.”

To further add to the festivities, MOIC is hosting a special giveaway at all MOIC US National Ice Cream Day celebrations to give away the Ultimate Ice Cream Party. Anyone who visits the activations in the US locations will be given a “cone-nection cube” where they will be assigned different tasks to learn about the other visitors. These challenges will include having a compliment battle with a “cone-panion,” finding someone who shares the same ice cream flavor as you and introducing yourself to a stranger by your ice cream name. Once they finish the activity, they will be given a golden ticket to fill out their information. One winner will then be selected from each location to receive the Ultimate Ice Cream Party at MOIC for themselves and up to 20 guests, including free entry, endless opportunities to play and explore and free ice cream from the tasting stations.
