After bringing its signature multi-sensorial experience to the plant-based aisle with Philadelphia Plant-Based spread late last year, Philadelphia Cream Cheese has announced the nationwide rollout of its first-ever plant-based spread offering.
With the Original flavor outperforming in the category, the brand is adding two new flavors as part of the nationwide launch: Strawberry and Chive and Onion.
A recipe more than two years in the making, Philadelphia Plant-Based spread marks the first time a mainstream cream cheese brand is entering the plant-based market with a recipe that mirrors the taste and texture of the Philadelphia brand.
“To be the first mainstream cream cheese brand launching a plant-based spread option with widespread accessibility across the US is an important milestone for Philadelphia and our fans,” says Keenan White, senior brand manager, Philadelphia at the Kraft Heinz Company. “Whether on their morning bagel, a veggie pairing for lunch or a delicious dip creation for snack time, we are proud to provide consumers with a delicious product that fits their lifestyle.”
Made with simple ingredients and no added flavors or dyes, Philadelphia Plant-Based spread is free of dairy, lactose and gluten. It was first tested at select retailers in the Southeast US.
