National Bakery Day 2023, brought to you by the Retail Bakers of America (RBA), is taking place on Friday, September 22 at retail bakeries across the United States. Many are celebrating the success of their businesses with this sweet holiday brought to life through live events, fresh treats and the signature tastes.
One of those in Conshy Bakery in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. This Italian bakery, first opened in 1973, has been an integral part of its local community for 50 years, and is celebrating with its customers by offering some deals on National Bakery Day. Its specials include $1 cannoli all day.
Freebies are often a big part of National Bakery Day. Also in Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh’s Pastries A-La-Carte invited customers to stop by the bakery for a free chocolate chip or snickerdoodle cookie on September 22. LadyCakes Bakery in Cape Coral, Florida has been running specials all month long in the lead-up to National Bakery Day. This included discounts on custom orders, assorted cookies and wedding cake orders. Additionally, customers had the chance to win free cupcakes for a year. Each purchase throughout September earned them an entry into the giveaway, with the winner receiving a dozen cupcakes weekly for a year.
According to the Cape Coral Breeze, the bakery is also hosting a cupcake flavor contest, in which customers can submit their dream cupcake flavor, with the best creation to be featured at the bakery during the week of Thanksgiving.
Even bakery suppliers are getting in on the action. good natured Products Inc., a leader in plant-based products, announced that customers can enjoy a 20 percent discount on any in-stock plant-based bakery packaging for three days only, using the code NBDSAVE20 at checkout.
