Primera Technology, Inc., a leading manufacturer of specialty printing equipment, will be exhibiting at the iba trade fair in Munich, Germany on October 22-26. Located in Hall B1, Stand 146, Primera will conduct live demos of its Eddie®, The Edible Ink Printer, and unveil Freddie®, The Frosting Machine, which will be shown publicly for the first time.
Eddie is a professional-grade, NSF-certified direct-to-cookie and food printer that uses edible ink to print full-color images, text and logos onto cookies, candy, macarons, crackers, white chocolate and other food items.
Freddie is a new robotic frosting machine that automatically outlines and fills in cookies and other confections with royal icing and other types of icing and frostings. Primera expects Freddie to be shipped globally in Q1 2024.
“We are excited to be exhibiting at iba this year,” says Mark D. Strobel, Primera Technology’s vice president of sales and marketing. “iba is the world’s leading trade fair for the bakery, confectionery, and snack industries, and it is the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our latest edible ink printing and advanced frosting technologies to a global audience.”
In addition to Eddie and Freddie, Primera will also be highlighting a variety of other accessories and applications for edible ink printing at iba, including:
- The ability to print edible, decorative labels for baking into or on top of bread, pastries and other baked goods
- A new adapter kit that allows Eddie owners to print onto coffee pods, donuts and other larger and taller food items
- New ways to print even more items on Eddie that increase the value of the food items, helping Eddie owners to make even greater profits from their printers
