Magnolia Bakery and Stan’s Donuts & Coffee, both prominent fixtures in Chicago, have teamed up for a fall twist on their signature products.
Magnolia Bakery’s Chicago location is offering an Apple Cider Donut Pudding, a blend of its apple cider pudding layered with Stan’s apple cider donuts. Meanwhile, at Stan’s 16 locations throughout the Chicago area, the donut shop has introduced the Apple Cider Pudding Le Stan – a traditional Le Stan croissant donut infused with a Magnolia’s apple cider pudding-inspired pastry cream and tossed in a cinnamon sugar coating with a pastry cream drizzle.
“Our Stan’s fans absolutely loved our collaboration donut with Magnolia last year and we knew that we wanted to take the partnership up a notch this time around,” says Stan’s founder Rich Labriola. “We thought what better way than to combine our most popular donut, the Le Stan, with our favorite time of year to create the ultimate fall treat. Since the first tasting of Magnolia’s apple cider pudding, we knew it was the perfect fit.”
Both limited-time products are available in their Chicagoland locations now through Monday, October 30.
The two first partnered in June of 2022 after Stan’s founder, Rich Labriola, was given the famous Magnolia Bakery banana pudding for his birthday and immediately got the inspiration for a collaboration. Made with Stan’s classic bismark donut, the Banana Pudding Bismark was cut in half and filled with a combination of pastry cream, mashed bananas and crushed vanilla wafers, then topped with a brûlée sugar coating.
