Three Brothers Bakery is getting ready for Mardi Gras season 2024 beginning on Saturday, January 6 and ending on Fat Tuesday, February 13. All of the Houston, Texas bakery’s locations will have king cakes, cupcakes, dipped decorated cookies, petit fours and more available for purchase in-store or online for pickup beginning January 6.

About ten years ago, the Three Brothers Bakery team went to a bakery convention in New Orleans during Mardi Gras season and went on a bus tour of about nine different area bakeries. They came home with about nine different king cakes and let everyone try them and decide what they liked best about each one. Then the team reformulated the bakery’s king cake into what it is today.

All Three Brothers Bakery king cakes are decorated with Mardi Gras beads and other seasonal decorations and there is, of course, a baby for someone to find who traditionally will have to bring the next king cake.

Three Brothers Bakery was named 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 Best of the Best Bakery by Houston Chronicle readers and its pecan pie was named “the Best Mail Order Pecan Pie America has to offer” by Country Living magazine multiple times along with many other accolades. In 2018, Three Brothers Bakery received the SBA Phoenix Award for Small Business Disaster Recovery and advocates to help small businesses recover after disasters.
