Duck Donuts has announced the continuation of its international expansion, recently signing an area development agreement that awards the rights to develop in the Philippines. The company’s newest international franchise partner, Bravo Foods Corp, is set to open 25 locations throughout the Philippines over the next six years. The first location, which is expected to open the second quarter of 2024, will be in Makati, a vibrant city in the Philippines’ Metro Manila region.
“We believe that the warmth and uniqueness of Duck Donuts will resonate with the Filipino community,” says Betsy Hamm, Duck Donuts chief executive officer. “We are excited to embark on this journey of sweet success in partnership with Bert Bravo and leverage his knowledge of the market and industry as we begin to introduce Duck Donuts throughout the country of the Philippines.”
Edilberto “Bert” Bravo, chief executive officer of Bravo Foods Corp, is an entrepreneur and a lawyer by profession in the Philippines. Among his businesses are U-Bix Corporation, Facilities Managers, Inc., Federated Realty Corporation, Bravo Hotel Corporation, and Coffee Tonya, Inc.

Duck Donuts currently has 145 locations across 25 states, Puerto Rico and internationally in Bangkok, Thailand; Burlington, Ontario; Edmonton, Alberta; Lahore, Pakistan; Doha, Qatar; and Cairo, Egypt.
