When it comes to baking, honey can be an important ingredient. It not only enhances the taste, but also fulfills crucial functional duties and has great market potential.
In a new session hosted by the Bread Bakers Guild of America (BBGA), attendees will learn about the world of honey, including its various types, forms, applications in baking and the bees responsible for its production. The BBGA is partnering with the National Honey Board (NHB) for this event taking place on Monday, May 20 at 5 pm EST.
As a special treat, the NHB will send you a honey tasting kit so attendees can sample different flavors during the virtual session. Those interested can register by May 6 to receive a honey tasting kit in the mail.
The National Honey Board is an industry-funded agriculture promotion group that educates consumers about the benefits and uses of honey and honey products. Its research, marketing and promotional programs are funded by an assessment on domestic and imported honey and are designed to increase awareness and usage of honey by consumers, the foodservice industry and food manufacturers.
