Miller Baking Co. is expanding its baking operations and positioning the company for further growth, according to The Milwaukee Business Journal.
The Journal said the company is adding equipment to its downtown Milwaukee baking plant and has acquired a building in northwest Milwaukee that may be converted to a second baking facility.
Miller Baking has been in business since 1923, and bakes “pretzel rolls” sold under the Pretzilla brand — hamburger buns, sausage buns and mini buns as well as soft pretzel bites. Before introducing the Pretzilla line, Miller was best known as a baker of rye bread.
Pretzilla rolls are available in Wisconsin, at several supermarkets in Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota, and at Whole Foods stores in Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico, Utah and Indiana. The products also may be ordered on line.
