In celebration of last year's Diwali, the Festival of Lights (which celebrates the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness), bakery chain Sprinkles teamed up with acclaimed author, activist, actress, model and philanthropist Padma Lakshmi to create a special cupcake with an invitation to share in this cultural moment nationwide.

Padma’s Luscious Mango Cupcake recipe was inspired by the Mango Lassi, a popular yogurt-based drink enjoyed in India. Rich mango cake is piped with a creamy mango curd center and layered with a fragrant blend of cinnamon and cardamom-spiced yogurt frosting.

Sprinkles has announced that this fan-favorite treat is back for a limited time. Now through August 18, Padma’s Luscious Mango Cupcake ($6) will be available at Sprinkles locations nationwide.

“The Mango Lassi flavor brings to life memories from South Asia, featuring the vibrant taste of fresh mango curd and the sweet aroma of cardamom and cinnamon. I’m excited for everyone to share a very special piece of my heritage,” says Padma Lakshmi.
