General Mills Foodservice is looking to offer bakeries a simplified way to bake a variety of high-quality bread with consistent results with the introduction of its line of Pillsbury frozen bread dough.
The line of Pillsbury breads and rolls helps in-store bakeries balance limited time and resources, offering a way to produce fresh-baked bread without requiring skilled labor. The easy prep products are designed to be highly tolerant to suit various back-of-house operations without using a proof box. Some of the items are even pre-scored or pre-stamped.

“We want to make it easier for retail bakeries to make the high-quality bread their consumers crave with consistent texture, size and shape every time,” says Nicole Nelsen, director of retail foodservice at General Mills Foodservice. “Our line of Pillsbury rolls and doughs are all easy prep, giving operations a simplified approach to baking fresh, flavorful bread that doesn’t require any measuring of ingredients or mixing and no need for a proof box.”
Nelsen adds that the products provide bakeries with several versatile menu possibilities as they can be cut, topped or shaped to suit their needs.
