In its sixth annual Cravings Report, released on Thursday, November 14, Uber Eats provides a snapshot of the most popular, the most surprising and some of the wackiest delivery requests of the past year.

This 2024 report highlights some truly unforgettable cravings, from customers ordering a staggering 20x the usual amount of green onions to requests for mountains of spicy mayo and quirky combos like scallops paired with boiled eggs.

Over the last few months, some of the more interesting trends include:

  • According to data, the leading late night Uber Eats order is a medium french fry.
  • In 2024, driver tips were the highest per trip on October 14 – the day the moon passed in front of the sun.
  • On Election Night, Americans ordered food and beverage fuel on Uber Eats. In fact, alcohol sales were up more than 10 percent day over day and nearly 20 percent compared to the previous week.
  • With Thanksgiving just around the corner, searches are spiking for holiday staples like sweet potato, casserole, cranberry sauce and more. Last year, there was a nearly 1000 percent increase in orders for turkey on Thanksgiving Day.
  • Americans are feeling the heat with hot sauce as their top condiment to order followed by sweet n’ sour sauce, ranch and BBQ.
  • Bananas are the leading grocery item ordered on Uber Eats and even maintains the top spot every day of the week.
