Elisabeth Prueitt developed Tartine along with her husband Chad Robertson, creating an award-winning brand that is a shining star in the baking world.
Now, she is sharing some of her ideas with the public. In her second book, Tartine All Day: Modern Recipes for the Home Cook, the James Beard Award-winning pastry chef provides an all-purpose, comprehensive look at 200 recipes for the whole-foods way people want to eat and bake today.
Included in the cookbook are 46 gluten-free recipes such as gluten-free pancakes. Artisanal bread has a big influence on many recipes in the book, with savory puddings, sandwiches, salads, and toasts all covered. The book also contains recipes for snacks, dumplings, roasts, cakes, and cookies.
In the book’s introduction, Prueitt explains that the book is specifically designed so that the list of ingredients is to the left of the instructions, allowing the cook to reference the two sources side-by-side.
Tartine All Day: Modern Recipes for the Home Cook comes out on hardcover April 4 and is available for pre-order now.
