On Friday, April 14, Avalon Café and Bakery opened in Detroit, Michigan. This will be Avalon International Bread’s third retail location, joining a previous Detroit location and one in Ann Arbor.
This all-purpose spot will have a warm vibe for dine-ins and carry-outs. It will serve Michigan’s Mighty Good Coffee and grab-and-go items, as well as full dining options.
“The concept is just right for the downtown crowd,” says Jackie Victor, co-founder and CEO of Avalon International Breads.
The breakfast menu includes items such as avocado toast, quiche, and breakfast pizzas. The lunch and dinner menu will feature a selection of “green bowls” that include an assortment of healthy ingredients.
The café will be open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to midnight on Friday, 8 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. They’ll serve breakfast until 11 a.m. on weekdays and brunch will be served until 2 p.m. on weekends. Lunch and dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to close.
